Terms and Conditions

Dear customer Once you have chosen your program, please read the following terms and conditions carefully as the reservation will be governed by these terms and conditions.

Responsibilities

NUNA EXPEDITIONS, operates directly part of the services of an Itinerary in Peru, but also acts as an intermediary agent contracting services for the passenger such as hotels, transportation, air flights and any other independent supplier. We take all reasonable steps to ensure that the service providers meet our quality standards and offer the best services for our customers. However, these companies are independent suppliers over which we do not have direct and complete control. We therefore NUNA EXPEDITIONS excludes all liability for death, accident, loss or any other inconvenience caused by an act or omission of one of these suppliers.

In case of force majeure events csuch as political disputes, strikes, natural disasters, governmental actions, mechanical failures or any other beyond our control, the client agrees to assume all additional expenses arising from any of these factors, NUNA EXPEDITIONS reserves the right to modify the itinerary if necessary.

Acceptance of Risks

Some of our itineraries include direct exposure to nature or the environment visited (hiking, canoeing, horseback riding, cycling and others).

Therefore, it involves a personal risk that he/she may suffer or result in physical or emotional injury, paralysis, harm or death, so the client is aware that such risks simply cannot be eliminated without jeopardizing the essential qualities of the activity, therefore, he/she assumes them as part of the activity.

The client accepts that he/she is aware of his/her physical and health condition, under the knowledge of this he/she decides to assume the above mentioned risks. The client excludes NUNA EXPEDITIONS from any liability linked to any accident or injury that may occur associated with the health, physical or other condition of the client.

Payment and deposit policies

Our services will be provided upon receipt of 100% payment of the total cost. Our programs within TOURS IN CUSCO can be paid up to 2 days before the start of the tour, and the itineraries within TOURS IN PERU which include visits in other cities outside the city of Cusco, must be paid in full 15 days before the start of the tour. In the same way for groups larger than 10 must make the total payment of the services up to 15 days before the trip. All this in order to secure the reservation.

Means of payment as follows

  • Bank transfer.
  • Via Paypal.
  • Western Union.
Reservation Procedure

Reservations are made upon receipt of a 50% deposit for standard category hotel programs, and 60% for superior or luxury category hotel programs. You must send complete information such as full name and surname, ID or passport number, date of birth, and gender. You will receive a written confirmation via Email once the reservation is confirmed for all services on the dates agreed upon. Any changes after that date will be subject to availability and additional payment if necessary.

Prices

The rates of the programs are per person expressed in US dollars (exchange rate per day) and include transfers, accommodation, transportation, excursions, among others, (specified in the program), prices do not include 18% of IGV applicable only to Peruvians and foreign residents in Peru, foreign tourists must present at the entrance of the hotel their original passport and migration card for the exemption of the tax.

Prices do not include domestic and international airport departure taxes or visa fees, excess baggage, meals not mentioned in the program, beverages, snacks or meals not specified, gratuities, insurance of any kind, laundry, telephone calls, radio calls or messages, flight reconfirmation and other items of personal use, optional excursions or other services not expressly specified in the program.

Cancellation and Refund Policies

Cancellation by the client.

Any cancellation is governed by the terms and conditions stipulated below:

  • In the event of cancellation by the client, the client must be notified to. NUNA EXPEDITIONS in writing.
  • Cancellations 60 days prior to the trip are subject to a 15% charge to cover administrative costs, in addition to the bank charges generated by the refund.
  • Cancellations 59 to 21 days prior to travel are subject to a 40% charge, plus bank charges for the refund.
  • No refund or reimbursement will be granted if the cancellation request is received up to or less than 20 days prior to the passengers' arrival date. Similarly, no refund or reimbursement will be granted in the event that the passenger(s) does not show up or cancels the tour during the trip. In addition, there is no refund for unused portions of tour packages or services.

NOTE: Deposits for the classic Inca Trail (4 days and/or 2 days) are non-refundable.

Cancellation by us:

Cancellation by NUNA EXPEDITIONS, reserves the right to cancel in case of:

  • Force Majeure: inability to operate the program due to exceptional or unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of our company. NUNA EXPEDITIONS such as disasters, political conflicts, strikes, natural disasters, governmental actions, mechanical failures or any other beyond our control, the client agrees to assume all additional costs arising from any of these factors, NUNA EXPEDITIONS reserves the right to modify, postpone or even cancel the itinerary if necessary.
  • Failure of the client to pay the balance due before the departure date. In this case, the client will not be entitled to a refund of the deposit.
  • NUNA EXPEDITIONS reserves the right to cancel the program if the client does not show up for the start of the program.
