Places to Visit
- Traditional Market and Archaeological Center of Pisac.
- It is an archaeological complex, located 30 kilometers from the city of Cusco that has the shape of the partridge of the puna. Property of the Inca Pachacutec, composed of terraces, domestic and ceremonial structures, and aqueducts that provided water for farming.
- Living City of Ollantaytambo.
- It is located 90 km northwest of Cusco and has an altitude of 2,792 meters above sea level. The straight, narrow, picturesque streets and some houses are built in colonial style on beautiful, finely polished Inca walls. Ollantaytambo is the only Inca town that is still occupied by local families. All the design and structure of the original Inca town.
- Chinchero, royal palace of Tupac Inca Yupanqui.
- Chinchero was the place chosen by the Inca Tupac Inca Yupanqui to establish his residence. He had beautiful palaces built for his personal use and that of his panaca and in the year 1536, in the middle of the invasion, Manco Inca began his rebellion by setting fire to Chinchero so that the Spaniards would not renew their supplies and stop chasing him in his retreat to unknown jungle regions.
